DO I STILL HAVE A CHANCE WITH HIM?

Hey Jesse Neo!

I like this guy and wanted him to ask me out but he never did. I sensed he liked me back but it was kind of hard to know. He after all is 12 and I'm 11, and 12 years old boys are stupid with girls.

I was tired of waiting for him to ask me out so I decided to ask him out but I was too shy. I told two of my classmates to ask him if he would ask me sometime, and he replied with a 'maybe' because he's friends were watching. I was watching through the girls bathroom window. Then my friends and I told them what was going on and they told me to just tell him that I have strong feelings for him and he would totally fall in love with me, so I thought about it and said "I'm too shy, what if he says no?" and they replied, "don't worry, we will do it for you." And they went so that sucked!

They came back running telling me he said that he wouldn't loose his f***ing breath on me so I was so sad. However only one girl came to me saying he doesn't like me. My best male friend said I shouldn't of asked him out in front of he's friends because he was too embarrassed to say yes.

So I need help here because when I go back to school tomorrow I'm sure everyone will be gossiping about it. I'm so confused! I don't understand 12 year old guys! Do you think I still have a chance with him?

Dear Tara,

Remember that asking someone out is only between you and that person. It is no one's else business to know or have anything to do with it. I suggest you should ask the guy you like to meet him secretly alone and then tell him how you feel. You may even tell him through the Internet if you are shy.

One thing I got to point out to you is don't be shy! You've got to face it if you really want it! Believe me, the reward would be awesome! If it doesn't, hey, you're only 11 and you still have years in front of you to meet someone new! So don't get upset.
