Dear Kaitlyn,
Quitting smoking or any other type of drugs is difficult. It can be a long and tiring process, but it is possible to overcome it. Instead of having a huge expectation for your boyfriend to stop smoking completely, perhaps you could set smaller goals such as to not smoke for a day. If he can pass this objective, increase the aim to two days. Gradually, he'll be able to make it through a month and then eventually an entire year. Make sure you give him rewards too.
