MISSING MY EX

Hey Jesse Neo!

My sister has been feeling sad lately because of her one-and-only-true-love boyfriend. I want to cheer her up, but not to be nosy so I won't give much details. So she went out with this guy and he had done so much for her - laptops, phones, romantic places, but then, my sister somehow found out that he had missed his ex or something. He denies it but my sister could see it and I really want to help her get over it. She has been keeping a journal to express her feelings, but I'm not sure that helps at all...

Dear Flamey,

It seems the only way for him to cope with this experience is first acknowledging the past lovers and move on from it. This is a really common problem to lots of people and there doesn't seem to be a complete cure from forgetting the past. What I advice you to do is talk to your sister about it, and try to work things out with her. Get her to talk to her boyfriend and explain that she will always be there for him no matter what. From own experiences, the only way to get over exes is to find someone that can cover the ex's warmth and love. So basically someone that can be better than his ex!

I know it may first sound intrusive and wrong but if you think about it, we all broke up with our exes to be with someone more better - we are sorting our way through relationships, learning from our mistakes until we find the one destiny had set us for. In the meantime, ask your sister to spend as much time as she an with her boyfriend. Always remind him of what he is, and then perhaps make history together. Have a night out with him that he will never forget, go on a long road trip, etc! I'm sure as time passes, the love will get tighter and tighter!
