LIKING THE SAME PERSON AS MY FRIENDS
|
Hey Jesse Neo!
I like this guy and he keeps flipping his hair at me, looking at me and we keep going back and forth. He also keeps trying to find ways to make me laugh. I love my friends but I have two that are mad at me because I like the same person as them and we keep getting into fights non-stop...
I try telling them it's not my fault I like the same person as them, but they say that I'm just jealous because they have more of a chance with him than I and I'm just confused if I should stop liking him!
If you where in this place what would you do?
Signed,
-Meghan
Dear Meghan,
What I would do is start to believe that the the guy don't love me and I have no interest of being with him. The reason being is, if it is true that the chance of your friend being with him is greater and they actually ends up being together, the pain won't hurt as much. You could at least think, "Well, I didn't really like him that much anyways," when that time actually comes without having the guilt of jealousy and regret in you.
For now I suggest you try to be best friends with the friends you are currently fighting with. The reason why you are fighting is because she wants to be compete with you and the only way to stop this is to make your friendship even again. Instead of fighting with them, smile sweetly and say something nice! And if you're brave, agree with her that her chance being with him is after all greater than yours.
And he's a little secret. Since being a guy I can tell you right now that us guys are not attracted to the people that flirts with us more, or because they are popular and have more chance of being with us. We actually feels sorry for the not-so-popular ones that can never seems to be with us that the bitchy girl bags out. We may never admit this, but I can tell you it's true. We get this weird feeling that the lonely girl is far more worthwhile to be with! And you never know, you may end up being with this guy you like one day!
If you would want more advice or hope to stay in contact with me, feel free to add me on MySpace and/or Facebook and/or Twitter! Just hit me up a message or comment anytime! I promise to reply to them all!
Best regards,
-Jesse Neo
