IS MY DAD GAY?

Hey Jesse Neo!

My mom past away a few years ago and my dad now lives with a friend. Today I was with him on Google.com and he wrote the letter, "p" and the the word on the searches he'd done -  "portal gay" popped up. I also tried it on my laptop. Does this mean my dad is gay?

Dear Ashley,

There may be a chance your father is gay but have you considered any other reasons why that search term was searched? Hearing that your dad lived with his friend, could that friend be the gay person, instead of your dad? Anyhow, this could be one possibility. Or maybe he typed it in just for fun or research.

But coming to terms that your dad is gay, this can also be true. It is human nature for people to start getting interested in the same sex. This happens to many people at different age. An example is the Am I a Lesbian article that someone else had sent in.

Your dad can either be curious, bisexual, or gay. But probably curious or bi or else he wouldn't have married your mother in the first place. But believe me, as being a boy, many other males will come to a time that they become interested in the same sex too. This also happens to girls. This is not because their gay or anything, but just curious about guys because they haven't came to know them enough, but after a while, they'll return back to their normal orientation. However if it stays, then this probably really means they are gay.

As for you, don't worry too much. Even if you found out that your dad is gay indeed, what different will that make in your life? Think about all the result that could come and how the present will be affected. The difference won't be that much. So just be cool about it and take it off your mind. Remember, there is nothing wrong with being gay.
