IS LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT REAL?

In many songs and stories it talks about falling in love with someone at the first sight they see each other. Is this a real thing?

Love is a complex thing. Love involves respecting that person, committing your love to them, understanding them and being loyal to them. You can't really have all these aspects when you first see someone... so the answer is basically no, or more between kinda and no.

However that feeling when you get at the moment you see someone that makes your heart beat faster, this is more of an insta-crush. An insta-crush is an inspiration that makes you want to fall in love with that person, learn to respect them, understand them and finally committing to them. And this involves time.

So there may not be a 'real' love at first sight, you're just starting the engine of love, and that's a pretty awesome feeling to have too!
