GUY GLARING AT ME

Hey Jesse Neo!

I really like this guy and one of my friends told him about it. Since then he has always glared at me as if he hates me. I pretended I didn't love him anymore and he acted as if nothing ever happened! If I asked him out, what should I do if he says no and that he hates me?

Dear Lucy,

Never trust your instinct when someone is giving you the silent treatment (like trying to tell you something without actually telling you it) which includes the way they look at you. Just because he is glaring at you doesn't mean he doesn't like you. Try looking at it in a different perspective. Have you ever glared at someone? Why did you do it? Perhaps you can ask yourself if that guy is glaring at you with these same reasons.

The first step you should do is just talk to him and get to know him. Don't jump into the question if he hates you or not, but instead try to familiar yourselves with each other. Technically, you can only hate someone if you know a lot about that person. Hating someone you don't know (or talk to) is just plain stupid!
