SHOULD I GIVE MY HOPES UP ON A GUY?

My friend asked me the other day that she likes this boy but doesn't know if he likes her back. What should I do? I have no idea. I was going to tell her to just ask him out - the worst thing he could do is say no, but what if she gets her hopes up and the guy says no? Do you think I should tell my friend to ask that guy out?

Dear Akira,

Asking someone out should be comfortable. If you are feeling nervous and shy, then you are not ready to ask someone out. What I think you should tell your friend to do is just talk to the boy she likes. It doesn't have to do with love or anything ? just ask him about his day and stuff like that. Also try to be his friend! When your friend and that guy becomes good friends and know a lot about each other, things would work out so much better! By then, even if the guy says he doesn't like your friend, at least they can still be friends.
