I like a guy that had my best friend since the third grade. I’m now in the seventh grade. He is weird but he's really sweet. My friends think he's weird too and I’m kind of embarrassed to go out with him. Please help!

Dear Allyson,
Don’ t be embarrassed. If you like/love him, you shouldn’t be ashamed. If your friends think that he is weird, let them be, you shouldn’t just be embarrassed just because your friends think he’s weird or whatsoever. It’s their opinion, you make your own choices, with your own views, not with their views.
