Crush's Girlfriend Beating Me Up

There's this guy that I like but I ruined everything to be with him. My friend told me to write a note telling him how I feel, so I did, but it backfired and now he thinks I'm crazy. He has a girlfriend that tried to beat me up. I tried to get over him but I can't. I'm in love with him but he thinks I'm crazy! How do I fix this mess?

Dear Dawn Bailey,

Telling a guy that you have feelings for him when you know he has a girlfriend was a mistake to start off with. Trying to break someone up is the worst thing you could do, but what you did is now history and there is nothing you can do to change it.

However, what you can do now is approach and apologise to him. Explain that you can't control who you like and that you didn't intended to cause any pain. Try to be friends with him, and if he rejects, leave him alone. Only time can mend that flaw between you two.
