Crush on Brother's Older Friend

I have a crush on my little brother's older friend who is 17 and I'm 15. I had my friend, Makala, ask him if he likes me and he said yes. But when I had her ask him to for me, he said no. I don't know what I'm missing. That same day I was at lunch and I was a table away from him. He kept looking at me every chance he had and I caught him a few times doing it. What do I do? I really want to go out with him.

Dear Hannah Banana,

Your brother's friend may be shy or too embarrassed to let your friend know that he is into you. Why don't you ask him yourself? But before you do that, you must make him feel comfortable when you are around. Spend more time with him, sit with him at lunch and ask about his day. Try to be his friend, and once you are at the point that you can share secrets with each other, ask him seriously if he is into you. Or better, you should tell him that YOU are into him.
