BREAK CRUSH PROBLEMS

Hey Jesse Neo!

Everytime I get near a boy I always get sweaty, tongue-tied, or I act like a real jerk. I have missed out on tons of great guys, all of which liked me back because I am a hot mess around them. What can I do to break my crush problem?

Dear Toungetied,

I remember feeling this way when talking to my crush! My face would go so red and feel my knees about to collapse! The way I solved this problem is by talking about it to friends. Tell them about your crush and how you want to talk to him. You will be able to feel more confident after discussing it, and you may even consider role-playing what you could act with them! After you've been confident enough, go ahead and talk to your crush again! You may even go with your best friend to help support you when your tongue start going the wrong way.

Some tips to remember is when there is nothing to say, stick to topics such as the weather, school, recent movies, television or something nearby. Don't go straight forward into political or religious things! Just remember to be yourself and when you feel your heart about to explode, just breathe in and relax yourself.
