No, Islam and terrorism are not the same thing. A religion cannot define who a person is. Even I have heard of Christians killing other people! The only thing that motivates a person is the person themselves and nothing else.

As Muslim said, Islam is the most peaceful religion . Although many say it's based on terrorism, beleive me, it is not . It's a beautiful religion . All people who convert to Islam find happiness and peace of mind they never had before .
The reason why Muslims pray 5 times a day is to stay close to Allah ( God ) & to clear their minds from whatever bothers them . The closer you get to Allah , the easier life gets .
Many scientists convert to Islam because they find that what humanity has just discovered recently,has already been written in the Quraan for over a thousand years .
